Preparing your online accounts, side projects and so on will make you appear more relevant to a company.

• Do your homework on the job/role, the organization, the competition and their industry.
• Reading their website is the bare minimum!
• Network and meet people from the company at meetups or other related events.
• Find out everything you can. Get AI to help you with this research!

Most graduates do not read business magazines, trade journals, whitepapers, etc., so spending time going through these sorts of materials will give you an advantage. It will also prepare you to ask much better questions during the interview process.
