This is the advice I often give to my students at Turing, and those to whom I provide coaching services.
We form our own paths and make better choices by listening to many perspectives. If you only listen to one person, the opinions you form will be skewed to align (or not) with your limited input.
My advice is not the only advice you should consume and ponder. Seek out other technical coaches, gain perspective, and forge your own path. The notes in this book are not meant to be followed letter by letter, but to share my own perspectives.
